The audaciousness of this album is something deserving of its own study. Unrequited love in a homosocial setting, regret, longevity, self-assurance and destruction, and so on; each track taking on its own narrative journey whilst still maintaining continuance through callbacks to previous lines and balancing tragedy and optimism. Re-listening this album after a long while and reflecting; for many reasons, this album was monumental for and during my formative years as it's helped me shape the views I now hold. I hadn't had a good grasp of feminism, aside from the prejudiced portrayal from anti-sjw creators, and had been deeply hateful towards my gender.
