Imma say it. Imma say it. This song has WAY more going on then most people give it credit for. I've heard people criticize "7 rings" for being aggressively vapid and materialistic, but I've always seen the lyrics as blatantly ironic and honestly a little sad. Just look at the end of verse 2, "Whoever said money can't solve your problems/ Must not have had enough money to solve 'em/ They say, "Which one?" I say, "Nah, I want all of 'em"/ Happiness is the same ... read more

Yeah it's cheesy, sure The Beatles themselves hated it, but damn if this tune doesn't make me smile.

Exhibit A in the case of George Harrison being the best Beatle. Peak songwriting right here.

This is the song to beat in 2020. A perfect storm of sound and emotion that condenses all of the fury and sorrow this year has brought into a breathtaking 3 minute assault.

The hook is really annoying but like in a good way? If there's a guy that could just repeat "ooh la la, ah oui oui" over and over again and make it sound good, it's El-P.

Damn this album really did have its fair share of fantastic songs. If you were to cut down 'Hardwired' to like its best eight tracks, you might have an even better album than Black.

Wow that singing leading into the chorus is so blatantly off-key it's unbelievable. Like would it have killed him to do another take because this is egregious. That being said, I don't think a better take could have saved this song...

Endearing, sweet, and totally smile-inducing. One of my favorite Stripes tracks of all time.

I'm not crazy about this guy's music, but making a hit song about bottoming is something amazing in and of itself.

Sure, it is an awkward combo and it sure as hell ain't perfect. But if you ask me if I'd take this over commercial-minded duds like "I Disappear", I'd take "The View" all day.

This song is just absurd, like look at that feature list. Maximalist pop rap does not get more max than this.

Probably my favorite Juice WRLD single. Juice's death really got to me, not only was he tragically young, but he was incredibly talented and sat on so much potential. Songs like this one really made me think, "wow, this guy's capable of great things". And even though his time was cut horribly short, I can still look to "Robbery" as one of the best songs in emo rap.

Love this tune. All of the best aspects of Maiden's high-concept side condensed into a catchy three minute package. It does sound unbelievably 80s, but it also happens to sound unbelievably good.

Absolute landmark punk tune. What a way to kick off one of the greatest albums in rock history.

Cheesy as all hell, but undeniably catchy. One of the more tolerable songs of the American Idiot era for me.
