There are two types of juxtapositioned takes around this: peak pretentiousness or the epitaph of music as we know. Both of them are wrong. For me, it's just the big statement Swans are one of the most important Experimental Rock acts of the last 3 decades. No band has come to be this experimental and still get a bit that big of loyal fans, buying their music, supporting the fundraisers and patiently enjoying the dense inmersion of their ethereal, methodic, liminal and destructive ... read more
Hugely terrified by the ascending weirdness, dissonance and lack of humanity in the sorrow of this
Short Review this time:
Horrorcore is not a thing I explored up to this point, but as an special one for the 1200th Rate and also for my 666TH REVIEW, I chose to explore T6M for the first time. This shit is packaged with some diabolical things, majorly related to the Memphis Rap scene, infamous for involving murders, satanism and some of the mos terrifying and obscure lyrical narratives. Ethos, the mother of the Horrorcore. A issue I have with this one is how gross it goes at moment, not in an ... read more
Welcome back 69: That's What I Call Music ass single covers π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Close enough, welcome back Mon Laferte
Short review this time. Alexandra Savior comes back with a lovely 11-track piece, deviating from psychedelic influences, prefering chamber and art rock sounds, although we can hear some really beautiful strings in-between. Mother did it again I guess. Although I prefer the ethereal and mostly Spacial sound of Belladonna and Archer, this expands the artistry of Alexandra to new heights.
= BEHOLD, the MONOLITH of UNWOUND-verse =
Even if we put Future of What on the current discussion, I feel like this is the black sheep of the cannon Unwound catalogue. And man, that sucks.
First of all, I consider I'm really sorry for the lack of activity, a more current period of one-liners and many things. The past year I've been through many problems in my life; ethos, a break-up, studying becoming a mental suffocation and emotional-social isolation, completely forgetting how I ... read more
"Omg i think they are back with new bangers and- oh my god is it bullshit? It's bullshit, no?"
"Alright"
What does makes us VIOLENTS? That's a pretty good question, I gotta admit.
Violence is something that forged the human attitude around the centuries. Massacres, death, extermination, destruction and finally, annihilation. Violence and anger are some of the most divisive emotions at the moment of see if they are morally right or ambiguously wrong. And few things make people go crazy and violent in the floor like music. Mosh pits, fights, riots, these are some of the feelings when you go to ... read more
Will Toledo I Love You, But You're Bringing Me Down...
This is the most painful fire dumpster of the year. And saying that is so fucking depressing how you can't even imagine.
Car Seat Headrest is one of my most beloved bands. Ever. I love them so much. Monomania was my first approach and Romantic Theory helped me survive for years. NYM has some of the most ambitious musical pieces of Will, while going very emotional. How To Leave Town is monstrous, cathartic and I lost the count of ... read more
The hell has opened it's gates
Everyone are damned
Everyone must die before Apaloosa eats us
Those are the rests of your existence
The rests of a glimpse
The rests of your existence
Everybody feel ashamed of your name
And now you are just a joke
That's all
Totalism Swing π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Not even understanding a bit of what it's going on but it's really funny and unnofensive, not the 8th wonder of the world but better than the Mindless Self Indulgence discography.
1. This album sounds like the devil dying.
2. Everything about this album has been said. I can't give a different perspective, but I gotta say I really comprehend and empathize with many topics on MoM, overall those surrounding different kinds of abuse and mental delusion around life. It's a fucked up feeling, and as you can listen on many lyrics, since the moment you become a victim of some kind of abuse, your mind start feel struggles and a pain you don't find anywhere for ... read more
Quick One:
Viagra Boys slow down the craziness and chaos of the highly acclaimed and beloved "Cave World" going for a more metodic and calculated kind of Dance-Punk and Art Punk very reminescent of creations like Metal Box or even a kind of Downward Spiral but by Tom Verlaine. It's not as catchy, but the big reward is, in a syntax, how well crafted, and how really great this will be at a pub at high volume. I like when the bands of Post-Punk/Art Punk does that. I need some more ... read more
