one day i'll write a very nice, long review about this record, as it means the whole world to me, but here's what i have for now:

everything about this sounds so warm, so openly loving. this version is much more grand, more intricate in comparison to its demo. i'm not saying the demo was bad, either! it just isn't as magnetic as this. Hayden sings beautifully on this; her voice reminds me of the fragile fragrance of freshly picked flowers.
if amber waves was the slow creeping of spring, where the snow and ice slowly melts from the vile winter, then this is the full embrace of summer in all its glory.
so, so gorgeous. incredibly lush production with really excellent, vivid instruments used. this shocked me quite a lot, because the snippet she posted was very acoustic and kind of barren, so this was a very wonderful surprise for me. it's at the most, country-tinted, not full-on country, which i prefer much more lol. as always, lana's voice flows like ambrosia and her lyricism is fantastic. perfect leading track for this album <3
so fucking gorgeous. the guitar is so so so so addicting my god.
happy 5 years my love ♡ she effortlessly blends melancholia and sweetness together in this, and no one else could have it like her
