Honestly kind of terrible, it was Jordan’s first release. Super boring, mostly just sounds like elevator music or something you’d hear in a shitty visual novel.
A decent release. “Feusia Serih” is pretty nice. Overall, though, pretty mid.
Certainly one of the more enjoyable folk/gothic rock records I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. Despite the signature early Swans “we’re going to dump the heaviest shit you’ve ever heard on your face until you choke to death on your own blood” present at times, it maintains an overall more peaceful and calming aesthetic as the frequent female vocals prove more comforting than Gira’s hopeless, disturbed gurgling (keep in mind these are all things I love ... read more
Harrowing, disgusting, uncomfortable: one of the rawest expressions of despair and rebellion ever put to tape. Literally sickening to listen all the way through, and ridiculously propulsive. The vinyl mix specifically is just absolutely foul in the best way possible.
FAVORITE TRACKS: "Stay Here"; "Power for Power"; "Weakling"
A visceral, sludgy and brutal expression of the human condition.
Gira’s more screamish vocals certainly lend themselves well to the concept, although I personally find the more subdued and vague delivery in The Glowing Man more enjoyable.
EDIT: I get it now. The first disc alone is almost a religious experience.
90 -> 100
FAVORITE TRACKS: Screen Shot, A Little God In My Hands, Bring The Sun/Toussaint L’Ouverture, She Loves Us
From head to heart to soul, terrific the whole way down.
The most ethereal, emotional and rewarding two hours of music I’ve ever heard. The production is incredible. Gira’s writing and delivery is profound and, more so than the previous records in the trilogy, is very concrete. Never has a record I’ve listened to justified its length so tremendously well; for the time being, this is my favorite album of all time.

Not quite as concrete of a concept or as cohesive of a project, but one thing is consistent: west-coast bangers throughout.
Unbelievably good album. “Killing In The Name” is just indescribably fire.
A great evolution from Revolver, with The Beatles' engineering markedly more polished, and one of the best albums ever made. It's unbelievable this was made in the mid-60s, it's really just a testament to how revolutionary and innovative The Beatles were both in terms of songwriting and recording techniques. "A Day In the Life" is my favorite song of the 60s.
FAVORITE TRACK: Take a wild guess
Great album. Phenomenal at points, although drab at others. Very influential and innovative, yet some parts are still clearly dated. IMO the hyper-stereoization(?) typical of the time. and understandably so, The Beatles' recording techniques were revolutionary) are somewhat distracting in certain cases. Sgt. Pepper's clears.
FAVORITE TRACK: Tomorrow Never Knows
Not a perfect album by any means, but people REALLY forget how massively influential Azealia Banks has been in so many different genres. It's really, really too bad she turned out to be a shitty person, because this is the second best album by a female rapper I've ever heard (besides, obviously, Lauryn Hill.)
I’m consistently shocked by both the amount of inventiveness and quality and the amount that I absolutely love every Death Grips record. Another masterpiece in the catalogue, and there has yet to be less than a 9/10 from Death Grips for me.
Favorite Songs: On GP, Inanimate Sensation
Least Favorite Songs: N/A (Fuck Me Out is good!)
This album’s sound is so mature and ascended above The Money Store, and it’s completely different, but they’re both equally 10/10s. A shockingly good album, and a perfect listen. No least favorite because it’s all incredible.
FAVORITE: Three Bedrooms In A Good Neighborhood
While I acknowledge that this is one of the best albums ever made, it just hasn't clicked with me yet.
Turned me from a straight white man to a happier straight white man
A super underrated piece of MF DOOM’s discography. Sofa King and Crosshairs are perfect songs.
