BULLY is the best album Kanye has made since Donda, and even then Donda is still miles better. This album has a lot of empty space, horribly mixed vocals, and there is still some AI spread throughout some bits and pieces of the project. All of this does make the general listening experience really weird as the quality is just all over the place throughout the album.
Besides that it is a return to something in a positive direction for Kanye which was nice to hear, there are some really nice ... read more
I have never listned to a James Blake album before and I was plesently suprised on how beautiful and calming the album sounded. I really enjoyed those aspects of it, I do feel as if the first half is a little stronger than the second half but I still enjoyed it regardless. His voice is fantastic along with the production choices they just all add together to make such a beautiful experience. I left wanting more which is why I plan to listen to the rest of his discography.
Albeit I think the album is really good, I think the worst thing you can do as an artist is take a long break and come back and drop a project without much notice, especially at the level of Baby Keem. This is a situation where I think a 5-year wait for this album was too long, even though I enjoyed it quite a bit. I'm still left wanting more, it felt like "oh you just came back, where are you going?".
The production on Ca$ino is really good I enjoyed it throughout every track, ... read more
Joji has continued to show improvement and stagnation with this album.
I am upset with the album to be honest, a 6-year wait between this and his last true album, and we got what felt like a bunch of short, unfinished, and not fully fledged out tracks. There are a couple tracks with some highlights like Sojourn, Pixelated Kisses, Love You Less, and Past Won't Leave My Bed. Beyond the tracks I mentioned, everything just sort of feels dulls, not bad or good either.
I will say I never ... read more
Don't Be Dumb is all over the place in a good way, for the most part, I really loved the production on this album. Tracks like Stay Here 4 Life, Stole Ya Flow, and Don't Be Dumb/Trip Baby are really fun production wise. The features on the album did it more of a disservice than anything, unfortanently, nobody really stood and there were some lack luster features, but some are a little fun. The lyrical content isn't anything crazy for the most part, but it is really fun throughout ... read more
To be honest, the album was just decent/solid throughout its entire run, which is disappointing as I feel over the last couple of years The Kid Laroi hasn't improved his sound by much. Which is sad to hear as there are always glimpses of some really great tracks from him like A Cold Play or A Perfect World on this album, or from his last album Nights Like This, and Sorry. I was expecting a more mature step-up in sound and lyrics, but it seems he is still hung up on his previous ... read more
VHS is an all around improvement on Quadeca's previous works at this point, and from the feeling and sounds that come from this record it is more apparent than ever. The production from song to song sounds a lot more clearer and full for the most part other than the more intentionally heavier tracks towards the end of the album which, sonically, are still phenomenal tracks. He has improved so much on the lyrical side of things and I find myself taking him more seriously as a songwriter ... read more
The album was real fun, and intriguing to listen too. Every track presents a different aspect on Tyler's outlooks on life, rather that be from raising children, relationship topics, family topics, and more. The first 4 tracks, and the last 6 are the strongest on the album. When track 7 hits it starts a little 2 song slump, all be it, I enjoy Judge Judy more than I do Sticky, but some sounds don't land to well for me with Sticky in particularly. Tyler still has it in him to make ... read more
Hardstone Psycho is by far Don Toliver's best album, with that being said though I really do feel like there was a lot of missed opportunities here. I really wish he expanded the sound from songs like Bandit, or Tore Up throughout the album more, but instead he goes back to more of his R&B roots throughout the rest of the album, which isn't bad, in fact it is the most polished version of Don Toliver we have heard.

Scrapyard 1 gave us a perfect introduction of what to expect out of the Scrapyard series. Although this is the "worst" one out of the three it is still pretty solid and fun, especially with the brakence feature.
2>3>1
Although this is better than the first one, the second still has a slight edge on this one basically due to the fact that I just like how eerie the second pack of songs were compared to this one and the first one. All around all three "EP's" are pretty good and I've enjoyed them all. I am excited for the final two that come out this month!
I'm very split on how I feel about this album, on one hand Ty Dolla $ign's performance on the whole thing is awesome, the production is pretty good, and most of the features are really fun. Then you have Kanye, which is the worst part of the album, his verses and delivery are really lame and boring. Not to mention the kind of things Kanye has been talking about lately, and the things he's been endorsing are also brought onto this album throughout it. The mixing on this thing is also quite ... read more
Still very eerie sounding in a sense, I enjoyed this little drop of songs more than I did the first ones.
An experience at the very least, listening to this album start to finish was refreshing and fun. With Hip-Hop being very standard and boring lately this added the refreshing sound it needed. Even though the album is all over the place at times, and their are some questionable song placements, Travis Scott's amazing production writes an amazing picture along with the aesthetic of the songs and album. The lyrical side of the album was a smidge lack-luster, but in almost every other way the album ... read more
Nectar is, debatably, Joji's best whole piece of work to date. All though their are some problems, the highlights of this album definitely outweigh them. The second-half of this album provides a lot more than the first does. Tracks 11-18 he doesn't miss and it all sounds like an amazing piece of work that ends this project perfectly. Some of the more lackluster tracks come in the middle of the album personally. In the end Joji continues to show that he can make some amazing ballads of music and ... read more
A shorter album in terms of JOJI releases. Nothing terrible for the most part, but nothing mind blowing either other than Glimpse of Us. In the end I would've preferred if JOJI took a little more time creating this to give us a full length LP instead of something short. BALLADS 1, and Nectar are some of my favorite releases of his and I was expecting a little more to be honest.
Honestly, the night this came out I was expecting something different out of Yachty, but nothing like this. In terms of what Lil Yachty has made, this is his best up until this point. This album does exactly what Yachty wanted, and that is for people to take him serious as an artist and that he can make more than just rap music. Pushing all of that aside though, the production on this album is good, some of the backup vocals are beautiful and the concept of the album is awesome. Some things ... read more
