BULLY is the best album Kanye has made since Donda, and even then Donda is still miles better. This album has a lot of empty space, horribly mixed vocals, and there is still some AI spread throughout some bits and pieces of the project. All of this does make the general listening experience really weird as the quality is just all over the place throughout the album.
Besides that it is a return to something in a positive direction for Kanye which was nice to hear, there are some really nice ... read more
I have never listned to a James Blake album before and I was plesently suprised on how beautiful and calming the album sounded. I really enjoyed those aspects of it, I do feel as if the first half is a little stronger than the second half but I still enjoyed it regardless. His voice is fantastic along with the production choices they just all add together to make such a beautiful experience. I left wanting more which is why I plan to listen to the rest of his discography.
Albeit I think the album is really good, I think the worst thing you can do as an artist is take a long break and come back and drop a project without much notice, especially at the level of Baby Keem. This is a situation where I think a 5-year wait for this album was too long, even though I enjoyed it quite a bit. I'm still left wanting more, it felt like "oh you just came back, where are you going?".
The production on Ca$ino is really good I enjoyed it throughout every track, ... read more
Joji has continued to show improvement and stagnation with this album.
I am upset with the album to be honest, a 6-year wait between this and his last true album, and we got what felt like a bunch of short, unfinished, and not fully fledged out tracks. There are a couple tracks with some highlights like Sojourn, Pixelated Kisses, Love You Less, and Past Won't Leave My Bed. Beyond the tracks I mentioned, everything just sort of feels dulls, not bad or good either.
I will say I never ... read more
Don't Be Dumb is all over the place in a good way, for the most part, I really loved the production on this album. Tracks like Stay Here 4 Life, Stole Ya Flow, and Don't Be Dumb/Trip Baby are really fun production wise. The features on the album did it more of a disservice than anything, unfortanently, nobody really stood and there were some lack luster features, but some are a little fun. The lyrical content isn't anything crazy for the most part, but it is really fun throughout ... read more
