Man! The final song nearly brought me to tears! It’s the certain tone of some songs that just do it for me! That song had it! This album is just so terrific! It’s a gorgeous album! Genuinely loved the whole thing!
Taken personally as a recommendation from Fantano’s Giggens, I decided to go in completely blind to VII. What I wasn’t expecting from the album cover was a jazz-funk rock album! I will say though, I did not mind this! In fact, I quite enjoyed it a lot! I loved the instrumentation! I think this is just a fun and interesting album!
Man! Give me more of this! Put this in my veins!! The heaviest shit they’ve put out yet and something that I find to be genuinely magnificent! Keep this shit up, Muskies!
Very very good! A few misses in here but mostly great stuff.
This is the greatest worst thing I’ve ever heard. The context really matters for this album. You’re probably wondering why this album doesn’t have a score lower than 50. It is musical hell. I encourage you to seek out the story of The Shaggs because it does explain why this album sounds so awful! Throughout the album, I actually quite enjoyed the drumming! Surprisingly I didn’t mind the drumming at all! The guitar work seen on here is obviously horrible (once again ... read more
Honestly, did not care for this album. It’s not as fun as some of their other albums. It’s possibly their least interesting album to date. It’s not even as danceable as a lot of their albums! It’s my least favorite project of theirs and it’s not even close.
56 minutes…56 minutes. Jesus Christ. This album is 56 minutes. 56 truly agonizing minutes. People say these guys are doing their own thing…and they are. But it’s a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. And the copying just goes on for forever! This is just horrid.
Brilliant record! Heavy as hell, loud as hell, just everything is terrific about this album! I genuinely loved it!
There’s a few songs on here that I would definitely skip on a relisten. Have a Baby, Moon, Touching God, and No More Loving (On Women I Don’t Love) are the songs I’d skip. I did love a few tracks! I loved Sign Of The Times, Call On Me, Roots of all Evil, and Sins of the Father. Aside from the songs I loved and didn’t, the rest is just kind of mid. I think the album is great in certain aspects and mid to boring in others. My honest biggest gripe with this album is that I ... read more
This is the project I was waiting for! I started my day out with the zany, interesting, strange “You’re Weird Now” by Guerilla Toss, to “Black British Music” by Jim Legxacy, to this! This is just about the perfect way to close out my day! Just a beautiful beautiful indie folk album! Genuinely just terrific all the way through! You can guarantee this will be on repeat for me for a while after this! Just an outstanding project and a magnificent debut!
A pretty good project with a lot of future potential! A few really great pieces of production like on the track New David Bowie! I very much enjoyed that track and its production! I enjoyed quite a bit of this project and I am excited to see what Jim Legxacy has lined up for his future!
A very interesting rock record. It is weird…I know shocker. It’s a good record! I can’t see myself returning to it frequently though. If you love this record, I am very happy that you appreciate it more than me! In fact, I encourage you to embrace the weirdness! It’s a fun, zany little project and I enjoyed it!

It is better than I remember it being. It’s a lot harder than I remember, several excellent songs with just a few duds for me in the 13 song tracklist. A great album!
A very great project! It has some of my favorite material of theirs to date, songs like I Am The Sun and My Buried Child are outstanding to me! Especially I Am The Sun which I’ve genuinely had on repeat all week! Just really excellent! Saying that there is a few down points in here. Points where I was bored or uninterested in the music. Musically it is impressive, but it just left me more bored. Overall though, I am impressed in this…and now…onto Soundtracks For The ... read more
