While I will be the first person to admit to having a nostalgia bias to this album, I still think that even if it wasn’t the soundtrack to so much of my childhood it would still be one of the best ambient albums of all time. C418 is amazing at making a song that can just completely absolve you in it with no lyrics.

While I can admit this isn’t Travis Scott’s best album, I will stand by the fact that this is one of the most underrated modern albums because how anyone can listen to this and say it’s a 6/10 I will never know.

A lot of people are quick to jump on and hate TØP for their earlier work and while I still like some of it, I understand that, what I need those people to realise though, is that this album is an outlier in their discography, truly one of the best modern alt-pop records out there, with truly amazing production throughout the album and tracks that still to this day I come back to (Jumpsuit, Chlorine, Levitate, to name 3) I strongly advise anyone who hasn’t heard this album to do ... read more

And the lyrical content gets edgier and stupider, who’d’ve guessed?

This record suffers from all the same problems with lyrical content a had with Ghostories, but by this point the novelty has worn off, it’s not a car wreck anymore, it’s someone desperately begging for any attention they can get and it’s honestly sad

Add to that that this project has by far Tom’s weakest production since DPATWW and you get a really, really hard to sit through album
