I've never personally been a huge fan of industrial metal, but I wanted to check this one out since it had a cool cover. Hearing "Like Rats" as an opener is honestly mind boggling. All of it is so abrasive and distorted with these tearing vocals and nihilistic viewpoints, and it never slows down throughout the entire album. it's all distorted slop, but there's charm and energy in it. If you want an album to just smile to this is it. It’s so low-key and beautiful. Nothing is over complicated or right in your face it’s just nice and peaceful. All the instrumentations and samples fit perfectly and it culminates in a fun little jazz indie album. Meow :3
Haven’t reviewed in a bit so I’ve had a lot of time to listen to some good albums and what a good way to start with a Bright Eyes album. I absolutely loved this thing since I’m a pretty big folk and indie fan. The first thing I want to compliment is the writing.
