Ken Carson lacks the creativity that made Yeat redefine the English language or Sofaygo’s niche for back pocket melodies. Instead, he cruises throughout the 48-minute runtime on autopilot, eventually running out of things to say and seemingly hoping no one will notice.
This repetitive production taken in tandem with Car$on's often listless and uninspired lyricism (and flows that sometimes struggle to even stay on beat) makes X a largely hollow and forgettable affair.
This music is painfully hard to listen to. The beats are all very similar, and the only thing that makes it tolerable is Ken’s sense of humor. His voice and vocal production is vomit inducing. I found this so hard to complete a full listen to. I gave up rating songs at some point.
Everything about this album is a step down from his previous work (Project X), the complex fun rage/trap beats are replaced with some of the most boring generic hyperpop rage beats i've ever heard (some of these songs sound exactly the same) plus Ken's autotune drenched vocals and boring flows arent enough to carry this project sometimes his voice is so annoying it ruins the beats, at least AGC is alot better
