Monarch of Monsters is unlike any other album I have ever heard. It's a story of lust, of sexual assault. It's a story of how trauma, loneliness, and selfishness can turn you into a horrible person. It's a story of learning how to find love even when the scars of the past still scald the depths of your mind. And it's all beautifully written. It begins as any typical concept album would, with some outstanding rock songs, accompanied by its profound lyricism. Halfway through ... read more
Leroy is back & better than ever.
Well, not ever. Personally, I still like the style of Dariacore 2 better, but this is still her best "dariacore" album since then.
Barely beating out Grave Robbing, this has a lot of its strengths to brag about, but polished even more. It has the energy; it has the production; it even has some of the humor back from the "old days," so to speak. It also has some of the best modern dariacore-hard dance-hybrid songs ever made. Of course, ... read more
Last review for a long, long time... thanks for all the support.
I thought I would like this a lot more than I did. Turns out, I listened to literally the only 10/10 section of the entire album & assumed that's what the whole thing would sound like.
I just think there's too much drone here for me, idk. There's not as much going on here as I had hoped. The parts that were more energetic absolutely hit hard, but those were too few & far between for me to hold onto them ... read more
This is just amazing. I already love noisy music, but noise rock combined with shoegaze? Two already noisy genres? Who would have thought? It makes both of them so much better. I guess I don't have much else to say about this, just go listen. Highly recommended.
Highlights: seraphim ii, skytamer, i saw an angel in the mirror (reprise), dote
Lowlight: genesis
Spotlight: scream into the clouds
I have no idea why I put this off for so long. It's one of the best albums I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
Before I listened to this fully, I just assumed that it would be another one of those "good, but wholly overrated" type of albums. But now I can fully understand where all the hype comes from! This was amazing from front to back!! There are zero skips on this whole album (except for "Stop Smoking", which is arguably an interlude anyway.)
I really ... read more
It's short. It's sweet. It's hyperflip.
tictacto is one of my favorite artists in the genre, so it's no surprise that to me this still holds up very well. The unique samples, good production, & high, almost happy-hardcore-like energy make this a pretty memorable album, even if it's not one of the best.
Highlights: if u keep on asking im breaking the mutual, anyone remember musically, dariacore for rhythm game nerds
Lowlights: miimiimii, i couldnt think of a name ... read more
