I'm in awe.
The fact that a band can have such a consistently awesome and such a musically appealing discography to me unlike any other I've listened to is mindblowing.
Yes, I am a glazer. Yes, I carry around a spiral with me in public. Yes, I will claim Danny Carey is the best drummer to ever touch the instrument (true btw). And yes, I will fascinate on pretentious shit even if Maynard James Keenan will think I'm a knob.
But god damn, I love TOOL.

The most underrated Dream Theater in my opinion, and it's not even close. I believe the reason for this is two factors: a) being sandwiched between their opus Metropolis, Part 2 and the mighty Train of Thought and b) this album gets infinitely better the more you relisten to it and discover more of its enigma.

If I'm completely 100% honest, I'm not quite sure I completely get the hype behind this record. Is it technically impressive? Yes, its no doubt that Oldfield was a genius for coming up with a record like this at just the age of 20. Some parts of this record sound very nice also, even the goofy caveman section which folk seem to dog on for some reason. However, I cannot help but feel like this record just... drags.
