I was never a massive Beatles or Paul McCartney fan, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one
A great and moving experience. It's a close-your-eyes-and-listen kind of album. It's a very consistent soundscape decorated with James's sweet and moving voice. Trying Times, Just A Little Higher, Doesn't Just Happen (with Dave) were my highlights
It's a very pleasant listen even though the subject matter is not very pleasant. It might be Matt's often cryptic lyrics or his extremely soothing voice that make the songs fade to the background for me. I've listened to it a few times, I've enjoyed it, but often the songs blended into each other. One More Second is a standout and just excellent.
