evocative, theatrical, lush. old favourite that grows more on me by the year

gorgeous, stunning vocals. the the fact that i wasn't really in the mood for the more energetic songs and most of the melodies didn't appeal to me, yet this still gets an 80+, is a testament to simone's pure talent. my favourite song is probably what more can i say? stunning, absolutely stunning

one of my favourite albums of all time

i probably should've listened to the original instead of the deluxe. aside for the few songs i'd already heard, not much of this was of interest. i did have a few faves, like l.a & pretty mary kay. a lot of this certainly packs a punch and the instrumental bits of the non-instrumental songs was a saving grace. maybe it'll grow on me like either/or, but i doubt it.
