We've been used to 'divorce albums', but never have they been this candid, direct, and brutal. Lily Allen literally lays herself, her vulnerabilities, and her husband's shit bare. What can I say? I stan for rage's girl. An album that holds your attention; the first part is definitely more catchy than the second, but it's a fine album.

A political, bleak, and cold album. PJ Harvey succeeds beautifully in conveying the decadence of a nation destroyed by war, nationalistic ideals, and failed hopes. A beautiful album.

Patti Smith gifts us one of her most iconic classic rock tracks. It is not so much the style that sets it apart, but rather its textual and musical depth. Here, Patti is deeper, more grounded. Perhaps not my favorite, but it certainly raises the bar.

I wasn't a big fan of the movie. Charli XCX's soundtrack is definitely a good fit for the film, but I was still expecting a darker, more organic sound. Tracks like 'House' or 'Chains of Love' capture that vibe, but I expected more, especially considering the overall visual aesthetic of the album.
