it's surreal; to exist at the same time as this album. this monolith of motif and symbol -- 22, a million, not anything more. at the heart, this is still folk music, i know. we haven't exchanged our instruments; just tacked on drum machines and FX and digital sound.
a strange record from strange places manyfold, not personally experienced, but seen through the (looking-glass-) justin vernon provides. leave me be; i'll be looking for a while.

J-rock and vocaloid music tend to go hand-in-hand for me as music that's good, but not usually amazing. i'll vibe with whatever i end up hearing of it, but neither genre is something i actively seek out on a daily basis. that's sort of how i feel about "anticyclone" -- generally good, and has flashes of greatness, but it's not something i'd actively come back to.
