It's a bloated project no doubt about it but when it comes to the songs themselves are a great collection and showing of Nas's lyrical ability and a very interesting collection of beats
Both of these of songs are just ok for me.
Nothing much was really that memorable except for parts of Thug's verse.
and there wasn't really much oomph as I thought there would be.
some of the most crackhead energy i've ever heard and i love it π
Look i'm doing a Common discog dive but this is a big misstep by such a talented artist.
The beats aren't great and the bars aren't up to Common's level
I just hope i forget about this record and the only song i would be okay with hearing again is the intro.
Also if you are hearing this record for the first time I beg you to skip Sex 4 Suga i'm telling you would not miss anything from that song trust me
Tems really has a great voice and has a style that's really her own which help to make an stunning atmosphere.
El Cousteau on this album showed a lot of energy with his unorthodox flows and bars with a lot of fascinating pianos, vocals, and samples and El Cousteau showed a lot of his personality which is pretty infectious!
Even though i thought there would be a lot variety and creativity on this considering it's a Ski Mask project I still very much enjoy a lot of the beats and flows he brings to the table
It feels like a late night nostalgia trip
