Easily the most hungry and inspired Cole's ever been on a record.
My favorite Cole project by quite a bit, with almost no filler. So much more consistent than his other most highly regarded works like 2014 Forest Hills Drive or 4 Your Eyez Only. It has some of his most impressive rapping and production on tracks like Blow Up, Enchanted, 2Face, To Deep for the Intro. And most importantly, Before I'm Gone; easily the most significant and quality song in Cole's Entire 2 decade ... read more
Yeah its just underwhelming, that's about it.
Bruno definitely does still having some great vocal ability and production choices on The Romantic, specifically on tracks like the single I Just Might and Nothing Left. I loved Silk Sonic and was a fan of a lot of Bruno's previous work, but this didn't really do much for me. I think Cha Cha Cha is a very boring track though. There are a few songs on The Romantic that just make it kind of difficult to get through at times. Nothing ... read more
Yeah, no actual review for this one, this is absolute fucking trash 😂😂😂
The reason this isn't a 0 is because the beat on "u ready?" and YB's feature, which was actually somewhat good. Nettspend is the most annoying rapper currently alive (aside from Tom MacDonald, of course) and really should mature in his songwriting, production choices, and performances before ever choosing to release more music.
Out of all Drake projects, this is by FAR the most consistent and enjoyable one. A lot of what happens with your typical Drake album really just didn't happen here. The singing is essentially always quality, the production is very moody and is some of the best on any Drake album. The thing that really makes this mixtape so great though is his rapping. It's fantastic! He does an amazing job at riding the dark and moody production and kills every flow and performance. From fantastic ... read more
Man, HOW is the critic score on Discovery so low??
Discovery is an undebatable and undeniable classic that stands to be THE best House and Dance album of all time. It has grown to be one of my favorite albums of all time and is one of the produced albums ever. Every song is so enjoyable with soaring vocals with that classic, robotic Daft Punk style. Tracks like One More Time, Digital Love, Veredis Quo, Aerodynamic, Superheroes, and honestly the entire tracklist showcase some of the best ... read more
WOW, this thing was boring......
I wasn't ever the biggest Jack Harlow fan, however I did respect him for staying in his lane and making his catchy, bouncy, and well performed hits. However, Monica was not that at all. It was a complete snooze fest with the only real salvageable tracks being All of My Friends and Trade Places. Aside from those, which aren't necessarily that great anyways, you get absolutely nothing out of the rest of this tracklist. I think that if Jack chooses to go ... read more
One of the greatest, if not the greatest, Jazz rap album of all time. Not only that, one of the greatest albums of all time in ANY genre. An instant classic with incredible production, an amazing concept, and incredible rapping performances that haven't been matched since its release. Album of the decade of 2010s, and potentially even album of the century, at least so far. It's TPAB man, It's an absolute MASTERPIECE!!!
100/100
The Mountain ended being a super smooth, fun comeback album for Gorillaz which ended up being one of their most quality projects to date. From all the fantastic features to the mind-blowing production, the band has really managed to achieve something truly amazing in the back half of their career, which so many other legacy bands fail to do. AOTY so far (3/20/26)
90/100
This album has grown on me SIGNIFICANTLY since I originally heard it.
Many of the singing performances have definitely grown on me more than anything, as I really was not a fan of many of them right after it came out, especially on stuff like 39 Intro and Quik Stop.
I do have a few gripes with it though, as I think The Let Out is a bit goofy and Only You is pretty corny and just does not fit in very well with the rest of the tracklist. For the most part the rapping is pretty great and it ... read more
