I’ve always really liked Rashad. This is another solid addition to his catalogue, but it’s not his best work, or particularly groundbreaking. It is a great listen with a lot to take away from Rashad’s last few years.
Pretty darn impressive for a 12 year old. Genuinely better than a lot of rage music out there right now made by adults. Just because she has all the money and exposure and resources in the world doesn’t detract from the impressive feat of making a listenable and palatable EP at this stage in her career.
I can see how people might find some of the ideas on this album “corny” but Teezo’s storytelling, personality, and humor shine brightly on his debut. I was addicted to this album when it came out, and upon relisten it still holds up and is just as entertaining today as it was a few years ago. Saba is my favorite rapper, and I love this album. I love hearing his perspective on making it out of poverty and his perspective is extremely interesting over the course of the whole project. His personality and convictions shine through as well. Amazing album.
