There’s definitely some nice moments on this, but as a full album it just ends up being kind of whatever for me.
Swae sounds good and he’s obviously got a great ear for melodic stuff, but too much of this just floats by without really leaving much of an impact. It’s not bad, and I wouldn’t say I was bored the whole time, but a lot of the tracklist feels a bit samey and a few songs just do absolutely nothing for me.
The best songs here remind you why people have wanted a proper Swae Lee solo album for so long. “TAKE MY HEART”, “MURAL” and “WORKING REMOTE” are easily the standouts and feel the most realised. But then there are a few tracks that drag the whole thing back down and make the album feel less essential than it should.
Overall it’s ok, but considering how naturally catchy Swae Lee can be, I was hoping for way more than this.
