I have seen Charli live and I adore her. I got into her properly in 2020 and Crash for mine is such a fantastic album. She goes one better this time around.
She pushes boundaries yet again on "Brat," a genre-bending masterpiece that's both a club-ready party and a deeply personal journey. With glittering production, emotional vulnerability, and a potent dose of 2000s nostalgia, "Brat" is a surefire contender for album of the year, and jumps to number #1 on albums of the ... read more
The highs on here are really high. When this works, it sounds huge, strange, beautiful, etc. but the lows are real too. Freddie really is one of those artists where even a 3-track EP can feel more satisfying than some people’s whole albums. A short, sharp and grimy piece that just reminds me why I love him so much in the first place.
