This album was the first glimpse of the modern hypocrite that Kendrick Lamar would become. A real look into the future. Before I get into TPAB let me get into the contextual reasons for why I'd consider Kendrick a hypocrite today, then we'll tie that back to TPAB.
Lets start with most recent reason, Kendrick collaborating with Carti not even a year after Not Like Us. A song where he takes the moral high ground on Drake being a poor father and somebody you don't want women ... read more
In a lot of ways this is worse than Communist Slow Jams and Darkskin Manson might be on the same level as that fucking awful Werewolf EP. As ironic as the title is this might be the album that put me to sleep the most this year. In other 2026 projects I didn't enjoy at least i got through them without much issue. Here I was clawing from track to track. With something like J Cole's Fall Off or Drake's Iceman at least they're bad to the degree where they're endearing. I ... read more
I had a dream about my mother last night, It was odd. I don't usually dream about dead people.

XENU! XENU! XENU!
Probably one of the most atmospheric sounding and uniquely produced records i've heard in recent memory. This sounds like an alien abduction in auditory form. The psychedelic sounds in combination with politically charged lyrics brimming with memorable metaphors and wordplay really makes this a great album worth listening to. Doesn't overstay its welcome at all and is actually quite cohesive at only 33 minutes long.
a 'smallest church in saint saens'-esque lo-fi hip hop record. Very atmospheric and good for reflection
Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven is one of the most interesting albums i've ever heard. Its such a beautiful record. I've had this odd sort of fascination around the album for going on three years now and I think now is the perfect time to reflect and spill thoughts to paper. Do note this does get pretty heavy, so if you're not willing to see do note that.
