maybe i’m being a bit harsh with this score, but i just can’t really get around LUCKI’s voice. It’s so laid-back that half the time it barely feels like he’s trying, and after a while that starts to drag everything down for me.
26 songs in 58 minutes is also just messy. like yeah maybe that’s the style, but it makes the whole thing feel more like a dump of ideas than an actual album. There are a few decent tracks here for sure, but way too much of it just ... read more
Out of the three new Drake albums, this is definitely the best one for me. It’s got the best lyrics, the best production, and probably the best overall sound too..
but that doesn’t mean it’s actually great. it’s still way too slow and tedious for its own good. there are stretches where it sounds good, even really good, but drake just keeps sucking the life out of it by dragging everything on and on. You keep waiting for it to really come alive and it mostly ... read more
I honestly don’t think this is as bad as HABIBTI, but it’s still awful.
This one at least has Road Trips, which is decent, and Princess, which i mainly like because it sounds like a bad kanye song and unfortunately that is still enough for me lmao. but outside of that, this is just more smug, lifeless drake bullshit with no real spark to it.
It’s meant to be the more fun, lighter one out of the three, but it barely even manages that. Most of it just feels dumb, empty, and ... read more
The worst drake album yet, and yeah, my worst album of the year so far too.
This is what happens when Drake mistakes quantity for relevance and moodiness for depth. Everything here feels soooo tired. The lyrics and writing is so flat (ai probably wrote some of this honestly), the energy is dead, and half the album sounds like he recorded it while lying face down on a marble floor somewhere feeling sorry for himself.
Even by modern drake standards this is rough. there’s no real spark, no ... read more
I love little simz, which probably makes this more disappointing.
Much like Drop 7, which i gave a 60 2 yrs ago, this is another pretty underwhelming EP for me. And it’s not because she’s playing it safe either. If anything, I rate that she keeps experimenting and trying different things. She does that again here, i just don’t really think it works this time.
it’s not bad, just a bit underwhelming from someone i know can do way better.

My gf and i had the exact same thought listening to this: these guys really sound like The Beatles. then i looked it up and turns out they grew up loving them.
and look, i love The Beatles, but this still isn’t really my thing. I can respect it though. I’s very 60s, very polished, very “look how well we can do this sound.” and to be fair, they do it well. The melodies are nice, the harmonies are nice, it’s clearly made by people who know exactly what they’re ... read more
First time ever hearing anything from lykke li and yeah i liked this.
it’s really ethereal but in a kind of glowing and emotional way. The whole thing is only 9 tracks / about 25 minutes, which I kinda like - it starts, creates the mood, then leaves before i get sick of it.
Her voice is the big seller for me. it fits this sound so well, and the production around her is lush as hell too - nice strings, electronics, all that late-night sad glamour. I can see why people are into this kind ... read more
Hard to separate the art from the artist when it’s Chris Brown, but even if i do, this is still ass
27 songs. over 90 minutes.. and for what? it’s the same lifeless horny bullshit over and over. Same empty r&b, same dead-eyed delivery, same cringe lyrics like he’s still convinced “fuck and party” is a personality.
and that “i just wanna fuck and party” lyric is so bad man š like cheers for keeping it honest mate but i did not need to hear that ... read more
Listening to Jason Mraz in the big 2 0 2 6 is certainly a choice, and probably one I regret.
It’s sweet that this was made for his grandma, but as an album it’s mostly old-school gospel-country dust with pleasant vocals and very little reason for me to ever press play again.

What the fuck, i just found out this existed and now Christmas time is gonna feel slightly worse.
It sounds like weezer discovered christmas through a youtube tutorial and still somehow got it wrong.
More like Toy With ME because this album spent 42 minutes playing with my patience.
The whole album keeps reaching for cheeky, viral, “look how unbothered I am” pop, but the hooks are thin, the punchlines are weak, and she repeats the same slogans so much they stop meaning anything.
One of my worst rated albums of the year so far, and for good reason.

I swear Isaiah Rashad is one of those names I’ve been hearing for like 10 years and somehow had never actually heard a single song from him until now. So this was my first proper listen, and yeah… I really dig this.
What hit me straight away is how easy this is to sink into. It’s like really laid-back. The album just glidee smooooothly. And yet at the same time it’s reflective without getting dull, mellow without fading into the background, and there’s enough ... read more
As a first Kacey album, this is a really strong intro. I still don’t really like country as a genre, but she might genuinely be the female Zach Bryan for me at this point - one of the very few country artists I can actually enjoy. Her voice is lovely, the lyrics are good even if they get a little simple sometimes, and the instrumentals fit her really well. It’s very warm, easy, and has a kinda slightly lonely feel that makes it super easy to sink into.
I’m not fully blown ... read more
Look, a 13 year old made this. Kanye West’s child that is.
So yeah, the lyrics and vocals are obviously pretty rough in spots, but that almost feels beside the point. The thing that stood out to me way more was the production. The sampling is actually really solid, and you can definitely hear the Ye influence there.
That does not mean it is some amazing project or anything. But for a debut from someone this young, there is enough here to make me go okay… there might actually be ... read more
I gave Midnight Sun a 78 last year, so I was hoping this would be one of those girly pop remix projects that gets close to the original, or maybe even improves on it.
Unfortunately, it mostly does the opposite.
There are a stack of features here that look great on paper, but once they’re actually mashed into these songs, a lot of them just drag the quality down. It’s not bad, and I do not want to overstate it because it is still decent enough, but almost every remix feels worse ... read more
I haven’t really reviewed any anniversary edition re-releases this year, but I saw this came out and had to give it a shout.
Four Feet in the Forest was already a lovely little EP, and the 10th anniversary version does not try to overcomplicate that. It keeps the original five tracks and just adds “Tell Me (Piano Version)” as the one new extra, which is a really small but genuinely delightful touch. It does exactly what a re-release like this should do - give you one nice new ... read more
Completely lifeless trap slop with the charisma of a wet towel. Feels like he recorded the whole thing half asleep and forgot to bring any energy.
Wtaf is this shit. WTF is that album cover????
sounds less like an EP and more like evidence recovered from someone’s laptop after they got banned from four Discord servers. smh
