So this is my first review of an album on this platform. It's about my absolute favorite album, Blonde by Frank Ocean. I just want to say in advance that this is going to be a pretty personal and long review. But first, I'll talk about the music.
Nikes: A great intro for an album that tells you right from the start that the album is an emotional roller coaster ride. Already here, Frank shows what he's capable of musically and why the album is one of the best of its generation. ... read more
Ok like wtf was that record, it’s one of the worst records in this year. I just don’t know why he needed to put this out. I like 21 Savage and his music but this one is just disrespectful to all of his fans and to everybody who listens to it and was thinking before it that this would be like a mid or good record from him. It’s not repetitive like other psychedelic stuff but I think it’s not as experimental in the way I thought it could be. Overall it’s a solid Album with some potential to go further than this.
This is my AOTY, an incredibly beautiful album. I had pretty high expectations after hearing the singles, but I didn't think they would be exceeded like this. redveil shows why he could possibly become the best rapper of this new generation. It just gives you the feeling of being caught up in it; everything about this album just fits somehow, both the songs and the album as a whole. The second half is, of course, simply heartbreaking. I think he really showed what he's capable of and ... read more
