This is my first time ever listening to a solo Hayley Williams project and I have to say I'm impressed. At times the record felt very "Twenty One Pilots meets Billie Eilish" and the sounds blend perfectly. The album opens up with "Ice In My OJ", a punch track featuring distorted screamy backing vocals that really set the tone for the whole album. Hayley is known for her beautiful vocals and nothing changes here.

Perhaps this is the kind of album you have to listen to a few times to really get it, but from a first listen I'm fairly disappointed...
I want into this record with no prior knowledge of JPEGMAFIA, but high hopes from it's position in the top of 2024 here, and boy was I impressed. There is not 1 song on this album that you can't vibe to, and after reading briefly about his story and learning that he does everything himself from writing to record to mixing and mastering, I am so much more impressed. JPEGMAFIA is definitely on my radar going forward!
Linkin parks return is more than welcome, and what a song to introduce the new singer with. Watching the livestream was incredible the way the song starts with mike and viewers are still not sure whether there's a new band member or not, and out of nowhere Emily comes in with those amazing vocals. I have very very high hopes for the future of linkin park and their new sound!
To put it simply, BALLADS 1 is a ✨ m a s t e r p i e c e ✨
This record sound very similar to Joji's debut EP "In Tongues", but this time around much higher quality and much more matured. He created his sound with the last record, and with this one he mastered it. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer, but quality over quantity I guess...
