The Norwegians Gargamel return with their second studio album, "Descending". The 4 tracks (around 47 minutes) drift somewhere between 70s Nordic Progressive Rock, Post-Rock, Doom Rock, with a few hints of Psychedelic and Folk. I've been paying attention to Dawnrider since the debut 7". The debut album, "Alpha Chapter" (Raging Planet, 2007), was a powerhouse of Heavy Rock with retro contours. I remember buying this limited edition double-CD for quite a big amount of money, just because I was a big fan of both musicians (Patton and Zorn), only to be underwhelmed by the content. It is not that bad as an experiment. As far as I know this was all improvised. I'm pretty sure the musicians involved had a lot of fun. I'm just not that excited.
