Yeah, this is definitely abstract hip hop.
Mix of alt rock and hip hop from 90's that goes really well. Beck singing and rapping is solid. Instrumentation is really solid. And Beck is definitely a Loser babe.
Everything about this song is just...so perfectly DUMB.
From the silly, repeated guitar riff, the almost stock drums, the absolutely goofy yet fitting lyrics, it all just works so well. Anyone who wants to truly make novelty music should be taking notes from this. It's absolutely genius and something that only ever could've gained the traction it did in the 90s.
