RUN RUN RUN RUN
RUN RUN RUN AWAAAAAAAAAY
OOOOOOOOH OOOOOOOOH
One of the most wacky, absurd, mainstream hits of all time, that somehow comes together seamlessly into being the perfect funk punk track, possibly fucking ever. Byrne sounds like his testicles are getting pinched for the entirety of the second verse.
A vibe record. Long (at just over an hour), slightly bloated, largely consistent in sound making a lot of tracks blend together, but it's a vibe so it works. Not to mention, while it is very Ska heavy, there are more than a few straight up punk tracks on here, that I flat out wasn't expecting, but am very glad i got, genre meshing is very much alive on this project.
Expert penmanship meets immaculate production. Some of the more melodic hooks don't work the best, but everything else? Phonenomal.
Catchy pop-emo with a flair for the theatrical, only slightly marred by some overly compresed production, yet made up for by some really compelling vocals. Every bit of angsty melodrama is so palpable!
