This mixtape is a mixed bag (no pun intended). On the one hand, Cole is rapping his ass off all across this project with passionate delivery, solid bars and great flows. He’s continuing to prove that he’s one of the best rappers alive. The production across this tape is solid as well, especially the beats from T-Minus, The Alchemist, and Conductor Williams. The guest stars do well too. Daylyt and Ab-Soul deliver fantastic verses on Pi (the best song here in my opinion), Bas ... read more

I feel like Snoop could’ve gone a bit harder on this, but it’s still a nice track. I mean, it’s Snoop over a DJ Premier beat, of course it’s good.

This is Rick Ross’s best body of work in my opinion. I’ve always thought that Ross was a very underappreciated rapper with a phenomenal ear for beats and great delivery style, and his technical lyrical ability has improved a lot over the years as well. While it does drag a bit and become a bit more filler-ish towards the end, this is still an incredibly solid album with Metro as usual delivering fantastic, banging production and Future sounding more hungry and engaged than he has in a while. I can't wait for the second Future x Metro album coming in April. Tons of bangers on this thing with great guest performances and beats.

Justin Timberlake - Everything I Thought It Was

There are some solid moments on this album, but some occasionally embarrassing lyrics, an unnecessarily long runtime, and a lack of sonic and thematic innovation hold it back from being anything special or overly memorable.

Best Songs: Sanctified, Play, No Angels, Technicolor, Paradise, My Favorite Drug
Worst Song: Memphis (why he thought that would be a good way to open the album or a good song to release in general I have no clue)
