inb4 twikipedia gets signed to dead air

I really wanted to score this album somewhere much higher in the 90's but I don't think I can in good faith. In terms of individual track quality and consistency of themes and storytelling 'for the rest of your life' (FTROYL) is some of the best I've heard. Really good alt-rock stuff. Though as many others have pointed out, the album only really consists of drums and guitar. These two elements are consistently outstanding but leave a lot of space that's really awkward in such a noisy project. Try not to cry challenge: impossible

God, every single line of this album is delivered with such an incredible degree of emotion and miserable cadence. The horns and strings compliment the delivery wonderfully, contributing another melancholic layer. You can feel Wood spiraling further and further into desperation - an individual designed to love another, denied of their purpose.

An intimate and vulnerable experience.
