I really wanted to score this album somewhere much higher in the 90's but I don't think I can in good faith. In terms of individual track quality and consistency of themes and storytelling 'for the rest of your life' (FTROYL) is some of the best I've heard. 'loveless' is something that, in my eyes, will never happen again. A perfect album that both rigidly defines and transcends genre.
Really good alt-rock stuff. Though as many others have pointed out, the album only really consists of drums and guitar. These two elements are consistently outstanding but leave a lot of space that's really awkward in such a noisy project. Quannnic really does have the voice for such a sound, a good range of delivery and the ability to hold long important notes. Pretty consistent track quality as well, didn't have many outlier tracks that felt significantly better or worse.

Try not to cry challenge: impossible
God, every single line of this album is delivered with such an incredible degree of emotion and miserable cadence. The horns and strings compliment the delivery wonderfully, contributing another melancholic layer. You can feel Wood spiraling further and further into desperation - an individual designed to love another, denied of their purpose.
An intimate and vulnerable experience.
