This album is next level. Like seriously, the only gripe any human with ears could have with this album is that there isn't more of it. I thought this album would be defined by its high highs, and yet the lows here are among the best works that Rush has ever produced. 2112 may have started the golden age of Rush albums, but Farewell to Kings solidified this band as no fluke. Aaaaaaand it's all over my pants. That album is so good, I don't care about a "weak second half" or laziness, cause the title track is one of the greatest masterpieces of Rock and Roll there is. It's not often that a band comes up with a song that has such perfect storytelling, or a song where the lyrics and instrumental play off each other perfectly, or where both electric and acoustic guitar is used while sounding great.
