Let's gooo! The beginning of the new edition of my Discography Diaries series and we are set on our starting point for Rush, the self-titled debut. This album is not at all nearly as bad as people put it out to be, in fact, I find it to be a pretty solid debut

"All the way, cookie-cutting."
Rush’s debut is an alright piece of hard rock. Its most redeeming quality is that it makes for a fun listen and Geddy Lee’s vocals are on point. Its most deceiving drawbacks are its unidimensional character, the underwhelming performances of John Rutsey on the drums, and finally, the album not straying away from the genre’s conventions too much.
