Sometimes I feel like people hold Kanye to too high standards. This is an amazing album, and while some of the songs may not have aged so well, it is an enjoyable listen with two artists providing endless one-liners on (mostly) fantastic production. No Church In The Wild, Paris, and New Day are amazing songs which could sneak into each artist's top 20s and Murder to Excellence is probably one of the most underrated Kanye songs. Some of these songs were so bad they were good (wtf was Lights) but some of them were just downright awful (I'm looking at you The 1st Amendment). There were some good songs but some of this production sounded like he just started spamming random sound effects. The album was starting to improve near the end of the album and then he just slaps in the 1st Amendment which is one of the worst songs I think I've ever heard. The Pharcyde are an interesting group, known for their laid-back, jazzy production, immature lyrics, and chilled-out vibe, and this airiness was present throughout the album.
