Look, I get it. It's not deep, it's been done before, the trope isn't that good in the first place, blah blah blah. But honestly? To me, it's just fun. And I really enjoy the catchy, hooky stuff being done here. If this means I have terrible taste, so be it.

While I don't think Death Cab can ever recapture the lightning of Transatlanticism, Plans, and Narrow Stairs in any bottle other than the aughts, this album is still gorgeous and mature in its own way.
