this album feels like its own movie, and if it’s not then it’s the soundtrack to one. probably the most cinematic album i’ve heard so far and i even cried like it was one too

This album was made during one of their low points in production. Released in 2017, they were more focused on humanitarian actions and yet still put out a great piece of music. Two years before, they had published ‘Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress', and Luciferian Towers feels like a better, more fully fledged sequel. I don’t have the strongest faith in music for this year. 2026 just didn't seem to have any good albums--until I heard dead load. First hearing Dry Rot, I was slightly intrigued and decided to explore more with Drafts, which hooked me in. This album is unlike anything I’ve heard before and something I don’t think any of my friends would enjoy, but that’s what makes it special.
