I'd like to start this by level-setting and stating that Balmora is not a bad band. Up until this point, they had a near flawless discography; Your Unyielding Light, July Unending, Blighted To Pine and more were incredible works of revival-era metalcore class. It's hard to indulge in eras past without finding yourself steeped in nostalgia, unable to show progression or growth. The trappings of nostalgia are tempting, but keeping your sound fresh in spite of this is paramount. Let me start by saying that ERRA is a band made up of some of the most incredibly talented musicians out there right now. The performances on this album aren't the problem, and this rating is not a result of a band who doesn't know what they're doing. ERRA is incredible, and are capable of truly phenomenal work.
