I've listened to this around fifty times in the past month, it's some sort of obsession. It feels as though he is beckoning to me with these gentle vocals and flawless guitar, I can kind of see him, sitting on a stool pouring his heart out to me, and I'm the entire audience. I feel like I'm intruding whenever I listen to it, but it sweeps me up so entirely I can't leave, and for twenty eight minutes I'm stuck in this painful comfort, I can feel what he is saying so clearly, I can picture ... read more

Mother i Sober is probably one of his best songs, Beth Gibbons is literally the perfect choice for the hook. It’s quietly devastating- a lot of which is down to Kendrick’s vocals, which ... read more
Incredibly fun. Has some whack bars here and there but the highs are incredibly high, and it put a massive smile on my face. I can see the score rising in future.
Makes me so sad more people don’t know this. Flows so delightfully and his storytelling is beautiful. A great debut and a great jazz rap album.
