Steinman and Meatloaf really work here. Where most of the songs come off as teenage fun, there's really an something special in the voice of Meatloaf and the instrumental production. The stories that the longer songs tell keep it interesting and the somewhat shorter tracks offer extremely catchy earworms that you'll be humming for days.
Priest managed to do something only a few of the great metal bands of the 70s and 80s could dream of. The band delivered a fantastic metal album, with a surprisingly, yet knowingly strong vocals from Halford. Some tracks will leave you wishing to feel the depths of hell and immolation of a flamethrower, while others will pump you up for a fight.
