Gunna and Lil Baby are two rappers that i was listening to all the time this summer, and each of their respective projects from earlier in the year are pretty important to the new sound coming out of Atlanta. Between those albums, Sold Out Dates and Yosemite, and the social media hype, i got fucking excited for this.
Drip Harder pretty much delivered. There are no songs that i like as much as the previous two mentioned, but this tape is consistent. Baby and Gunna show some fresh, engaging flows across the project and complement each other better than most rappers on collaborative projects. It’s not the best hip hop album of the year, but Drip Harder is a solid showing of two rappers with tons of potential.
