Lil Baby and Gunna are one of the best new rap duos and their latest project develops a chemistry and brotherhood few others can lay claim to.
On Drip Harder, Lil Baby and Gunna make it hard to determine who shines brightest because both deliver their best most of the time. They aren’t just a duo, but a wave, a style, and a vibe.
This is a good effort from these two but could've been tighter. It's best when Lil Baby raps about his emotions, where the two once were and when Gunna brags about how far they've come since. But it's clear, they've still got farther to go.
If you heard any of the previous Gunna-Lil Baby collaborations ... you know what to expect on Drip Harder.
Catchy club bangers rule the day, although a couple more tracks with high bpms would be welcome.
When you combine the boilerplate production and the predictably great flows, things ultimately feel… familiar. It’s good, not great. Not exactly memorable, but you won’t kick it out of your car rotation just yet.
How tf is Drip Too Hard at 87?!? This whole album is fucking terrible and that song especially... Gunna and Lil Baby are one of the most mediocre rappers right now and this album only solidifies them as some of the most painfully mediocre, talentless, laughable rappers out there.
I didn't like this album because of course it wasn't good but I really loved drip too hard. I think it's a great song that perfectly captures how those musicians should sound on a song. Also the beat is perfect for those two musicians.
Lil Baby & Gunna's 2018 collaborative mixtape 'Drip Harder' is overall an okay listen. The middle of the tape is very boring to me. Baby and Gunna could've made a serious impact on Trap together if they did things correctly. The production on this is all over the place at times and when the production is decent, Baby and Gunna's flows aren't anything incredible.
Highlights include 'Drip Too Hard' which was a hit for its time and should've been ... read more
Why is the production so weird at times?
This is a fun little project, I definitely enjoyed at times. But overall most of the songs lack ideas and passion.
