An industrial, metal-inspired, art pop album from an artist I’ve loved since I was pretty young watching her on YouTube. I’ll start with the highlights, the best on the edm songs here was fun to listen to. It felt like it was going for an industrial sound, but it was almost too polished to the point of being bland on these tracks. But every time the percussion came in it saved me from the deep boredom u was in for the rest of this album.
The slower songs are boring, the writing is so simple and there are lines that made me cringe because of how silly they are. Like the refrain in hard…
The metal influences seemed so cheap here, and the songwriting is just so subpar and basic or it’s too chaotic and disjointed. I respect this album for trying something new but it just was a slog to get through once the novelty of the industrial sound wore off.
