Richard Youngs - Sapphie
90

three gently and voluptuously performed, dripping and dabbling king-size songs, dainty and fragile, masterpiece

SAULT - Nine
88

fascinating and absorbing music, five strikes since 2019 like five peas in a pod, great albums, great musicians - for "9": listen to Bitter Streets and London Gangs and you will continue listening the other eight song pearls

The Go-Betweens - 16 Lovers Lane
92

masterpiece - a collection of great song pearls which are not often played by radio stations or climbing the charts but if you are going to listen to you will experience that there is no serious reason for that

Radiohead - OK Computer
100

Masterpiece, groundbreaking for electronic music similar to Kraftwerk in the early 70th, songs like Paranoid Android or No Surprises are for the instant as well for the eternity: emotional, touching, complex as well as accessible in an ingenious symbiosis.

Radiohead - Kid A
100

it's one of my three favourite albums of Radiohead - OK Comupter, In Rainbows and Kid A

Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders & The London Symphony Orchestra - Promises
91

Congenial collaboration between the composer Sam Shepherd and the saxophone genius Pharao Sanders completed by the performance of the London Symphonic Orchestra - likewise ambient and inspiring.

The Replacements - Pleased to Meet Me
75

Several songs are a bit too frantic, some calmer songs as Nightclub Jitters are fine; and remarkable is the guitar arrangement on The Ledge.

Lyle Lovett - Pontiac
75

pretty country album

David Sylvian - Secrets of the Beehive
89

a collection of songs with a fantastic combination of coherence and diversity

Matt Berninger - Serpentine Prison
84

great collection of new songs - the voice of Matt is increadible stunning, one of the best albums 2020

Jennifer Walshe - A Late Anthology of Early Music Vol. 1: Ancient to Renaissance
80

I suppose Helmut Lachenmann would enjoy this amazing collagesque composition and re-composition.

Anna von Hausswolff - All Thoughts Fly
86

stunning athmospheric organ compositions and performance by Anna, in my opinion best album of September 2020

On daFigz™'s review of John Cale - MiXology (Volume 1)
"thx for you statement, thx for your review. In my opinion this record shouldn't be concidered as EP because it is with 40 minutes too long, maybe it should be as a remix album or regular studio LP. What do you think?"
On Geese - Getting Killed
"Yes, same to me. There were some moments i thought, this voice is similar to another singer, but of whom? And than I could identify, yes, the voice of Cameron makes me think of the voice of Zach. Not really the music, indeed, only the voice, and not over the full album. The voice of Cameron Winter is very varios, I like it very much."
On Maruja - Pain to Power
"Ja, danke, leider ist es im Luxor, das ist so ein langer Schlauch, kein besonders toller Veranstaltungsort. Die Band wird es hoffentlich ausgleichen."

"Great review. One of the best albums ever. If you continue reviewing "Dad's music" and you are interested in The Beatles I would like to recommend beside "Abbey Road" to give "Revolver" a try (and if you want you could continue with "Stg. Pepper's", "Rubber Soul" and "The White Album" and...)."

On MoooChoir's review of Vampire Weekend - Only God Was Above Us
"Masterpiece? I don't know. But, for an example, I would like to draw your attention to one detail: Just listen to "Classical" and the interplay of the vocal tune with the bass run. If that can convince you a little continue with a focus to the usage of piano, strings and brass in the different tracks. Maybe you will like it a bit more then."
On Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

On Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark
"yes, and Joni is a ingenious songwriter."
On Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes

On Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense
"That's a good question. Beside the Talking Heads' I would vote for Nirvana MTV unplugged in New York (in any case) the third is very difficult, there are about ten I like very much, today I would choose Johnny Cash life at Folsom Prison (and there are Deep Purple live in Japan, The Köln Concert of Keith Jarret, The Allman Brothers at Fillmore East, Bob Marley and the Wailers live, The Band and Bob Dylan and....) Last week I bough a live album of Post Animal, that's also a very good one"
