A one-in-a-lifetime sort of album, nothing can compare to the unique sound that Since I Left You holds, not even the Avalanches' later projects. Schlatt delivers a great performance on this album depsite his lack of experience, and just in general solids pretty solid. I do wish I had more to say about this, but other than Jschlatt delivering solid vocals, it's pretty much a cover album. Not too much has been expanded upon some of the tracks, but there are some aspects to these covers I enjoy than some of their more popular conterparts. Reminds me of number girl a bit
野口、久津川で爆死 (Noguchi Dies In An Explosion At Katsugawa) is a charming experience despite it's noisy and brash guitars. This kind of charm is notably present on "サイケな恋人" and "琵琶湖とメガネと君", more-so in the vocal perfomance on both tracks as well as the song-writing.
