A pretty pleasant instrumental hip hop project! It's one of those projects that I'd say serves as background music but in a good way. Like, it actually makes you feel something instead of generic background music. And even when you focus on the tracks they're for the most part interesting enough to keep your attention. My criticism would be that in some parts it's a bit generic. But i like it.
I kinda understand what it tries to go for, but I'm not too big on the vocals, i think they're really off key even though for a few seconds here and there it feels like that contributes to the track in a weird way, but by the time the song ends, it doesn't land that well. But i like the instrumentation for the most part.
WE AREEEEE SOOOOOOOOOO BACK. I REPEAT. WE. YES. WEEEEE. WE ARE SO FUCKING BACK BABYYYYYYY WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It's a pretty short instrumental, so i have nothing much to say about it, i am, however, pretty curious to see how the project attached to it turns out, as it's suppose to be a concept album, according to the artist. Which is cool. I don't think this is super off the wall, unorthodox or experimental or anything, it's a pretty standard instrumental hip hop track. But it does sound great nonetheless. Even though it is short.
Sounds so pretty, yet freakish at the same time! It feels like I'm in a haunted house but the ghost is really hot. Wish it was longer though
Finally i got around to writing my review for ts. This is less of a review and more of like, my thoughts on the album track by track. With a little paragraph dedicated to how I'd describe this thing.
Won't ever find me has a catchy lead melody and a pretty grand opening, overall good structure. It's solid.
It transitions perfectly into godspeed which has an AMAZING groove and features some really unique percussions. The feature (sorry bro I can't pronounce or type out ... read more
This is so good I can't wait till the finished thing comes out saudade my goat
This was definitely an interesting project, while not as good as some of highsenberg's best, ants on drugs still shows a lot of promise as a group. My main criticism would be that sometimes, even with the interesting soundscapes, a few deep cuts can get boring due to the lack of interesting arrangements, but that's a problem only some songs have. My fav was 4T, bus stop and Christmas morning.
This is one of those projects that is able to make it's imperfections a part of it's charm by wholeheartedly embracing the flaws
