Icon is Brent Faiyaz's most consistent album in recent years, filled with great production, vocal performances, and lyricism. The only thing this LP lacks is unforgettable and truly jaw-dropping tracks. While all of them are good (and even great at times) few are genuinely stunning.
Bad is an amazing album, but ends up being underappreciated within Michael Jackson's discography. There are a few weaker tracks on the LP when compared to its predecessors, but overall you still get great performances, a variety of styles and subject matters, and phenomenal production.
Invincible is a highly underrated album by the King of Pop, embracing a more modern production style that leans into R&B and would go on to influence 2000s pop and R&B. What holds it back is neither Michael Jackson's performances nor the production itself, but rather the repetitiveness and unnecessary length of a handful of tracks. Nothing is ever topping Songs In The Key Of Life, but Innervisions is still one of the best albums ever made and gets outshined by its "cousin". At the peak of Stevie Wonder's creativity, this LP is extremely political and a little psychedelic. The messages are still relevant to this day, and the production is great (even though it is minimal at some points). Stevie's singing is also amazing and very fitting to each song's concept.
