this guys just mad nobody would mourn his death like Phil Elverum mourned the death of his wife.

i feel like i have heard something that should have been locked in a basement for all of eternity, not for public ears. i dont think i have felt more uncomfortable listening to something, but despite this, i respect the fact this exists. music should be for the person who created it more than the listener, and if u wanna write songs about the kinks u have, sure, but that doesnt make me enjoy it any more. therefore, i will try to put the lyrical themes semi-aside, because my main problem is less ... read more

i use to tolerate this song before lmfao. id rather drive me and my family off a cliff than hear this again

SENTRIES - Gem of the West
NR

honestly this is rlly good, but as the ensightful mind of "furry music" said, red eye removal sounds identical to the blades by squid

Jack Harlow - Lovin On Me

i actually quite like the beat of this song, my main problem is that it does absolutely nothing with it. its a nothing song. its short at 2 minutes, but it feels barely 30 seconds long because of how underdeveloped it sounds. it sounds like a demo, and only ever existed to be played in the backround of tiktoks. pretty ironic one of the lyrics is "im vanilla baby", because jack remains one of the most wallpaper rappers of this generation.

Dave - PSYCHODRAMA
84

actually far better than i expected. i was surprised at how captivating of an album a uk hip hop album could be, excluding little simz, especially because of how dull i find daves contemporaries to be (im looking at you, central cee), however, despite the lackluster instrumentals, i found this album to be very versatile, engaging and emotionally mature, especially on the masterpiece that is lesley. despite this, a lot of the lyrical matter was pretty generic. whilst theres truth in what dave ... read more

Weezer - OK Human

this sounds like ajr for people who get even less bitches and who are even more neurodivergent. however, its still better than anything ajr ever made

Weezer - Pinkerton

haha i hate weezer

get it?? i said i hated weezer but i gave the album a high score. guys im so funny!!!!

actually tho this albums pretty good. i use to just dismiss weezer as a corny worse version of every other 90s rock band, like they were wannabe alt rockstars, but this album was a little ahead of its time. it sounds like it should have came out in the late 90s or 2000s. this album was FAR punchier than i expected, but thats definitely welcome. it reminds me of wetdream by willy ... read more

bbno$ - boom

im a big bbno$ defender but this just sounds like shit. i even prefer fat juicy and wet to this. its so repetitive and substanceless, i dont see any reason why anyone would listen to this for their own enjoyment.

My Chemical Romance - Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys
84

its unsurprising aoty-ers rated this album mediocrely. everyone on this website takes music farrr too seriously. this albums a banger, who cares that its corny as fuck? its fun, and actually interesting unlike many higher rated albums. the worst crime an album can commit is being boring, and this album is anything but that.

Lorde - Melodrama

not rlly my thing but i still got a bit of enjoyment from it.
standouts: liability, supercut
least favourite: homemade dynamite, sober, sober II

ANOTHER CLASSIC FROM TOMMY OLD MCDONALD. GOD FREE AMERICA πŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΎπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―

this is so ass but i dont fucking care enough about what this piece of shit has to say to actually listen to this album. lyrically im 99.999999% sure itll be identical to the rest of his career.

Miley Cyrus - Something Beautiful
90

im a little late to listening to this single, so id be really surprised if anyone reads my review, but regardless, this single has given me some stuff to say. i personally know very little of miley cyrus' discography, as i have always dismissed her music as generic white-girl teen pop, but from this single alone, i can tell that she has matured a lot in her sound from even the record before. i would never have listened to this song unless this song didnt become popular on aoty, and im glad ... read more

Drake - NOKIA

honestly so fire

this song embodies modern day ye. controversial for publicity, with everything remotely redeemable shat on (this beat COULD be OKAY, but not in ye's hands), massively underdeveloped, and utterly soulless. I give this "song" a 0/10, and i give the attention-whore who made it a 0/10 as a person.

Tom MacDonald & Adam Calhoun - The Brave II

should be marked as comedy rap because this album is a joke, and so are the two "rappers" who made this cancer

project pat, wtf r u doing in this pile of pigshit

Addison Rae - High Fashion
52

i dont really see the appeal. personally, i find the vocal melody to heavily clash against the instrumental, as if its off key (although it likely isnt). whilst this song just seems like a whole lot of nothing to me, how dumb the lyrics are, is especially to note. not to say every songs lyrics needs to be some highly complex poetry, but how do you expect me to take a song seriously with lyrics like;
"With a ciggerate pursed between my tits
You know im not an easy fuck"

Black Country, New Road - Live at Bush Hall

how the fucking shit is this a live album

"@Suma mb ur right i didnt see ur earlier comments. i think hes at the point of accessibility where nothing he does is as overtly unique as injury reserve for example. as a character, undeniably hes corny af, especially w his one sided freddie gibbs "beef". i just saw the idea that he is a nazi sympathiser as being the primary reason for why this album is supposedly bad to be a little one dimensional. i think the productions stellar, and some examples of where you thought it felt random could have helped. ngl i think the biggest issue is the corniness of a few or the songs, with the lyrics being cringey, and him occasionally relying on, for lack of a better term, shock factor to keep the songs entertaining, (im lookin at u, exmilitary)"
On Suma's review of JPEGMAFIA - I LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR YOU
"all your criticism amounts to is; "peggys a nazi sympathiser" (care to elaborate?? the only thing mildly morally controversial he has done as far as im aware is partly produce a few of kanyes songs) "hes soooo quirky which is BAD" (because how dare an experimental rapper try to do something new and, dare i say, ✨️experiment ✨️) duh im biased cus i love this album but idk calling someone a nazi sympathiser is a pretty pretty serious claim, one maybe you should back"
