will properly review this after more listens. main notes- squid, despite their large amounts of talent, the songs of this album tend to be hit-and-miss when it comes to how developed they are. i dont rlly get the hype. its good, but its nothing particularly unique or interesting to me
i dont really see why this song by peggy in particular is being received so mixed. i agree its definitely weak for his standards, but the song sports the corny jpegmafia chronically online lyrics 80% of his music has, and both beats pretty decent too. if anything, i think his flows are a slight improvement from his last works, especially in comparison to his veteran days. so i have no idea what makes this song so much worse than any of his other songs off ildmlfy

I honestly do not get the hate. istg if babytron was jpegmafia and eminem was jid yall would be glazing it like crazy, sayin this is one of the best songs of 2024. i get that its corny, but people act as if thats a bad thing. peggy, old kanye, rtj etc are corny af imo, but that really doesnt define shit about the music. i feel like if the most critical of a song you can be is that "its corny", then that more shows your bias rather than the qaulity of the song.
