Five Leaves Left is Nick Drake's seriously amazing and influential debut album. I absolutely love the track 'Time Has Told Me' as the opening track. Drake's songwriting on 'River Man' is so amazing. This is a - debut album. I really like the opening 'Down to the Waterline' - the first minute has nice ambience before launching into the classic Dire Straits sound and instantly displaying Mark Knopflers great guitar skills. Six Blade Knife starts with an almost Fleetwood Mac-esque beat which i quite liked. Obviously Sultans of Swing is the highlight of this album and it's really great. This is perhaps the most artistic album Lana has made so far and one of my favourite albums of the 21st century. This album is a listening experience from start to finish. I love the gospel intro and chorus of 'The Grants' - it really makes a great opening track. The lush strings really enhance the title track which has a really lush buildup melodically and instrumentally. Blue Banisters is a really great album. I see a lot of people call it rushed but I absolutely love the writing and sound of this album. The opening track 'Text Book' really sets it off to a good start. 'Arcadia' is really strong and the piano is so great. The lyricism on this album is super good.
