I want to like this album, but it didn't do anything for me. I really do not like how overly processed the vocals sound on this album. It feels like it was done to hide weak vocal range rather than to enhance the music.

A standout track is "COOL" since I feel the processed vocals aren't as overbearing as other tracks.

I do like the pop punk production in the songs. I think that if Can of Bliss drifts towards that direction and gains more confidence in his vocal ... read more

Jack Harlow - Monica

I really want to like this album, but I find it just so boring. There's just no energy to this album. Even on his worst songs, Harlow carries a sense of swagger that makes his worst hits listenable. This is just not it. Every song just feels the same with a slow tempo soft guitar instrumental with lyrics about romance. I'm not against an artist experimenting with different styles, but Harlow is just a total bore.

Various Artists - 2026 UNDERGROUND SOUND CYPHER
10

This cypher makes Lil Mosey's 2019 cypher good in comparison. I like the concept of a cypher focusing on underground rappers, but this is just absolutely terrible. The instrumentals are loud and abrasive, but sound absolutely terrible, and I can barely understand what most of these rappers are saying. A dreadful listening experience all around and probably the worst cypher I've ever heard.

J Dilla - Donuts

Man, this album sounds absolutely gorgeous. This is such a fun album to listen to. The sampling in many of these tracks are just masterful.

If I had a favorite, Two Can Win is easily my favorite song on the album.

bbno$ - bbno$
40

I never disliked bbno$, but I never loved him either. I find his presence in the music scene to be palpable, but he is not a rapper of substance and this album shows that.

If I can give one positive about the album, it'd be that the album does have energy. bbno$ is an energetic album and h does a great job at giving off a party-vibe to his music. However, that vibe can only do so much when the content is not very quality.

I do not have much to say about the album because I feel as if ... read more

Fiona Apple - When the Pawn...

If Tidal showed the world how great of an artist Fiona Apple is, then When the Pawn... solidified her as one of the best musicians of all time. What an absolutely incredible album that builds upon the foundation that her debut album set. Somehow, the production, composition, and writing managed to improve. So much raw emotion comes from each song and I love it. An absolute masterpiece of an album!

What an incredible debut album.

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out

Man, this album was really freaking great! Every track was a banger. Amazing production, great lyrics, and great features. This is really looking to be the best hip hop album of the year.

Kero Kero Bonito - Civilisation

I really wish there were more songs in this compilation because what is there is amazing! I really appreciate how KKB has begun to dive into more deeper lyrical content into their music after their 2018 album. There seems to be a theme of just wanting the world to get better and its themes still resonate as of writing this review. Good stuff, all around!

Pavement - Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain

This album makes me feel like a Gen X slacker in the best way possible. As my first Pavement album, I think it's a great way to get accustomed to the band. They have such a unique way of composing, writing, and singing that is so infectious. Great album, all around!

Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me

It's insane to think this album released in 1987. It sounds so ahead of its time and I can definitely see how it influenced many alternative rock artists in the 1990s.

Amazing opening track followed by other great tracks.

I've been a fan of this band for a while, but this is my first time listening to one of their albums. Great stuff, all around!

So uh... That was bad. This album feels like if Emma Essex and 100 gecs had a child, but everything interesting and good about those artists were stripped away. The only interesting thing about this album is its... fascinating album cover.

Judging by the title of the album, it's clear that this album was meant to be played at raves, specifically for furry conventions. I have to ask... With all of the better rave music, why would anyone want to listen to this?

I found most of the music ... read more

James Blake - Assume Form

I want to love this album and I love about half of it, but this album just has too many boring and uninteresting trap songs that it really dampens my enjoyment of the album. It's such a shame because songs like "Barefoot in the Park," "Can't Believe the Way We Flow," "Power On," and "I'll Come Too" are amazing, but then I have to hear a Travis Scott feature or an Andre 3000 feature on a boring trap beat. These trap songs do not flow well ... read more

Quite possibly the best album and some of the best music to come from KKB. I really feel that this shoegaze-esque style that they adopted for this album really fits with their style and I would love if they experimented with this sound more. Sarah's voice is just so beautiful in this style. I also think the style fits so well with how much more mature this album is compared to their previous songs. "Flyaway" is a stand out track for how bittersweet and beautiful it sounds. I ... read more

Jack Harlow - Come Home The Kids Miss You

The more I think about this album, the more I despise it. I truly believe this album stunted Harlow as an artist. While he wasn't the best rapper around, he had charm and made fun tracks before he dropped this. However, this album is one of the most blatant and recent attempts of a rapper trying so desperately to hit the charts rather than make genuine music and it's so plain to see when you see that there are more than 60+ writers working on this album. I don't care about an ... read more

Jack Harlow - Jackman.

This is Jack Harlow's best album, but he's still missing something. This album feels like a glimpse of his greatness, but it's still held down by some weak songs. I want to love Jack Harlow. He has charisma and charm, but he just lacks content. And judging by how this album is not very successful, we may never see Harlow make music like this again. We'll get more disposable tracks like "First Class" and "Lovin' on Me."

Car Seat Headrest - The Scholars
77

I quite enjoy the change of music. It's nice to see a modern-day prog-rock album. However, I am disappointed that I found myself going back to many of the shorter songs rather than the longer songs of a Car Seat Headrest album. That just doesn't seem right! I really feel like Planet Desperation holds this album back for me a bit. It's a good song, but I feel like it doesn't warrant being nearly 20 minutes in length, especially when the multiple parts of the song don't ... read more

Car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy (Face to Face)
100

I've always thought that the 2011 version of Twin Fantasy was a great album held back by lo-fi production. Now that this album was redone with stronger production, it really highlights how amazing of a writer Will Toledo is. If I could describe this album in one word, it would be: heartbreaking. Every song manages to hit me with a strong gut punch and Toledo's stronger vocal range helps so much. This is such a beautiful and heartbreaking album. Listening to this album feels like ... read more

Radiohead - Kid A
100

Picking Kid A or OK Computer as the best Radiohead album is like choosing a favorite child. It's so difficult to choose because both are simply excellent albums. Kid A was a huge departure from OK Computer with a lean towards a more electronica style of music rather than pure alternative rock. Despite this, Kid A manages to still be an amazing album. This album is the epitome of the new millennium. Such a beautiful and transcendent album.

Radiohead - OK Computer
100

There's a reason why OK Computer is considered their magnum opus. This album is amazing in every single aspect. Lyrical content, production, sound design, instrumentation, etc. This is an album where every single song gets better as you listen to it more and more. It's such an emotional, vulnerable, and dystopian album. A must listen for any music enjoyer.
